There are three sectors that WWS Ltd serve with AD: Local Authority, Agricultural and Industrial.
Local Authority
The WWS Ltd AD systems are designed to fit into council waste management plans to handle collected food wastes and other organic wastes that they produce, such as horticultural. Landfill is eliminated from this part of local councils’ waste handling, a business is supported by the financial return from the energy production and the detrimental effects on the environment are reversed.
Agricultural
The WWS Ltd Farm AD systems provide many benefits to the farmer within a single farm entity or several farms together. The extra revenue produced by the sustainable energy production adds financial stability and improved farm efficiency, especially concerned with slurry management and the use of fertiliser. The carbon foot print for a farm with a WWS Ltd AD system is dramatically improved and brings farms closer to a point of neutral carbon emission and provides a foundation to further improve their carbon foot print.
Industry
The WWS Ltd AD systems applied industrially cover a wide spectrum of potential feed substrates and in most cases this involves closing the loop in the food chain from farming and food production to food waste handling. There are some cases where fossil fuel derived wastes are processed by AD and the otherwise polluting effect of the waste stream that would contribute to the effect of greenhouse gases is able to recover some energy and reduce its effect on climate warming.
